O.K. – The Musical (Pre-Production)
ARTIST: 15 January – 21 February 2015 In the project «O.K. – The Musical» artist and musician Christopher Kline explores the potential of narrative installations whilst deconstructing the community theatre musical into its fundaments and, at times, unfortunate realities. For the duration of the project, the exhibition space will be transformed into a dynamic space for production and rehearsals open to the public. During regular workshop sessions, Kline will work together with young children, teenagers and adults to create the stage scenery, props, music, and costumes for the musical. In addition to the exhibition and workshops happening at insitu from 15 January – 21 February, the project will culminate in the very first, fragmented iteration of the «O.K. – The Musical (Dress Rehearsals)» on 26 February. The performance will take place at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Auguststraße 69 in Berlin-Mitte, as part of the “One Night Stand”. CURATORS:
